Oh, Mr Clock.
Tick Tock
Said, Mr. Clock
Is there anything to say before you're dead?
I had nothing, not even a tear to shed.
Yet, I thought to myself, will I regret never telling her?
The voices in my head, they murmured.
As the blinding light hit my eyes, I knew that my life wasn't complete.
But it was too late, good old Mr. Clock, had me beat.
I whispered, "Just a minute more, and then I'll be ready to leave"
He chuckled and said, "Alright, if that's what you believe"
I blinked, and I was in the coffee shop, and sitting on the other side of the table, was her.
I said sorry, and I said my goodbyes, but most importantly, I told her I always loved her.
She looked at me with a cold look and told me that she had nothing to say.
And all of a sudden, I was back on my death bed, to my dismay.
A tap on the shoulder, and then, Tick Tock.
Said Mr. Clock.
It was time to close my eyes.
As the light hit me again, I heard my demons' cries.
I saw her in my dreams one last time, but it didn't feel the same.
Inevitably. It was the end. Of my torturous game.
Goodbye. Mr. Clock.
Tick Tock, he said, Tick Tock.
